Because you need to laugh, that’s why.
This is my love letter to all of you fellow pilot wives, who need an “Omg yes!” moment, or a “This is so my life,” or “Someone please stop me from putting this fork in my husband’s eye.”
I hear you. I’m pretty sure my love language is memes, so I created these just for you. (I’ll be adding more, so come back and visit every once in awhile, mmmmkay?)
2. When you have to repeat yourself, again.
5. How we all feel after day 4.
6. When your husband is an FO.
8. When your kid just wants Daddy to come home.
9. When your husband brings home magazines.
11. This crime against humanity.
12. “Friends” who just don’t get it.
14. Or this stroke of bad luck.
15. When you just can’t even muster the empathy required.
16. When you find out the joys of those “benefits”.
18. When you try to warn newbies.
19. When this miracle happens and it’s a good day.
20. When your toddler plots against you.
21. Run for it, buddy.22. When he wants to compare.
23. And we wonder why we have communication problems.
25. There’s nothing else like it.
Xoxo,
The Flight Wife
My pilot and I laughed out loud on these! Perfect!
great work. Loved it. So true and so hilarious. I now understand that I am not the only one:)
Awesome! And so very true!
What about guys like me with a wife pilot. I always have to hangout with the ladies because she and all the other guys are talking about a 279er at 15% Blah blah blah. I have no idea what they are saying 😳🔫 lol
Hahaha. Welcome to the dark side, John. Feel free to hang out anytime!!
Hahahaha, so very true!
These are so funny! I can’t stop laughing at the Willie Wonka picture!!!
These are hilarious! Thanks for the smile and laugh. Glad I found you 🙂
I keep laughing every time I look at this. My pilot guy and I get married in April, but we’ve been doing the pilot life thing for a little over two years now. Thanks for these XD!
Thank you, Nancy!
HAHAHA!!!! Yes, Yes, YES!!! Can we be friends? 😆
Uhhh, of COURSE!!!
I’ve been a pilot’s wife for 27 years, 7 in the air force and the rest commercial. We’ve raised 4 kids and I’ve worked full time most of it. You have hit the nail on the head! I love my pilot but only another pilot wife understands the life I have lead! The stories I can tell! Thank you, thank you!
Wow, 27 years, that’s amazing! I’m glad you found my site, hopefully you’ll stick around and teach us a few things. 🙂 Thanks, Vicki!
I am a retired pilots wife of 40 years, only had 2 children but they were very active whether Father shared their high points or not. When his retirement loomed I was fearfull of spending all of our time together. But it’s been a blast! He wanted to visit all the gorgeous countries he’d flown over for at least 33 ( can you believe it?) years. So we hopped on a sailboat and have been visiting SE Asia for almost 10 years. Life is grand!
These were SO on point!! I’ve recently moved halfway across the world with my pilot husband of 5 years and our 2 year old. Every one of these hit home!
Just found your blog, I WILL be a regular ☺️
Glad to hear it! Thanks, Estella!
I absolutely love these! So true! (Especially the Willie Wonka one lol) Glad I found this blog! Feeling a unity with you all! Fist pump for all us pilot wives!
I laughed A LOT reading these… and honestly wanted to cry too. I met my pilot husband when I was a flight attendant.
Now, I am a stay at home mom to our 4 kiddos! As much as I “understand” the flight world, I don’t always like it.
Helps to know I am not alone and there are people out there who can relate!
Thank you.
Hi Sarah, thanks for commenting! I’m glad you feel less alone, and you’re my hero for staying home with 4 kids. I agree that I don’t always like it either, but I’m also glad I have found so many others who relate! 🙂
Why these pictures are so much true?😂😂 i cant stop laughing! Thankyou anyway for share this.
So funny and true! I love #7 and #24… Clean and straighten up before he gets home!!
The life of a pilots wife is so difficult and frustrating. I am so dependant on my pilot. Without my pilot, I am nothing. And my pilot without me, is nothing. The hardest job of the airlines is the pilots wife. #real
